The first class is free!  Just show up in a gi, sweats or comfortable work-out clothes and give it a try!

John Eley Sensei, 6th Dan Ki Society, Chief Instructor

Eley Sensei is now teaching at Evanston Ki-Aikido. With 50 years of aikido practice he is the longest active aikidoist in the Midwest region.

Eley Sensei is also the Ki Society Chief Instructor for the Midwest Region.  If your group is interested in Ki Society affiliation, please contact us.

Evanston Ki-Aikido is located in Ultimate Fitness (Ultfit) Gym. Ultfit is located at 823 Emerson, just north of downtown Evanston on Benson and 2 blocks west of the Northwestern University campus. It is located on the second floor above Lake City Cleaners. Parking is available on the west and north sides of the building when the cleaners are open.

Regular adult classes in the Japanese martial art of aikido are Monday from 7pm - 8:30pm, Thursday 8pm-9:30pm.  We also teach ki breathing, ki meditation, ki development exercises and kiatsu-ho.  We are the only public Ki Society dojo in the region.

You do not have to be a member of the gym to participate.  Monthly dues $40.  Student discount available.
